Coloured Tile and Card for Lily

Hello friends

After I finished yesterday's tile, I decided I wanted to add some colour to it and make it into a card to send to Lily.

Here is the coloured tile:

Colour was added using Derwent Water Colour Pencils, and I added some white gel pen highlights. All of the black hearts are glittered with a Wink of Stella pen and the 3 hearts in the centre are shiny because of the black glaze pen.  Wow - colour sure changes the look of a tile, doesn't it? And it also changes it from  Zentangle  to  Zentangle Inspired Art.

I made a Z-fold card, which is one of my favourite ways to make a card with tiles. Before lightly adhering the tile to the black mat, I inserted it in a clear plastic envelope.

When the card is opened, you see the words inside. I used a Papertrey Ink set, fussy cutting the 'sending' banner and die cutting the word HUGS.

When she has finished enjoying the card, Lily can peel off the tile and store it with the rest of her tiles if she wishes.

Tile for Lily

Hello friends

Today I'd like to share my Zentangle tile #118. This was a special tile to make - fellow tangler Lily Moon is going through a pretty tough time, and the Zentangle community is sending her love from around the world.

Adele Bruno's 'It's A String Thing" challenge this week is one of support as well. The string is based on Lily's mark and we were to chose from a couple of Lily's tangles. I chose her Adante and Lily's Valentine, adding some Mooka because I like the way it can resemble a large heart.
Edited to add: I ended up putting colour on the tile and making it into a card, which will be posted on my blog tomorrow.

Lily - sending you light and love from my heart to yours.
